Yes, all Revant prescription lenses are designed to meet standards for high mass and high velocity impact resistance.
However, not all frames are designed for high impact protection required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). If your frame is marked with “Z87,” the prescription lenses produced by the accredited lab Revant partners with will comply with the ANSI standards and be approved by OSHA for use in environments where eye protection is required.
If your frame has a Z87 mark indicating that it is impact rated, your prescription lenses will have “R+” etched into an upper corner. This is because ANSI Z87.1-2015 standards require that prescription lenses that are impact rated be etched with the manufacturer’s logo (“R” for Revant) and the impact mark (“+”).
