We have several dark lens tints to choose from. To figure out how dark a certain lens color is, look at the VLT (Visible Light Transmission) percentage. VLT measures the amount of light that a lens lets through, so a VLT of 10% will only let through 10% of all visible light.
The lower the VLT percentage is, the darker the lens will be. VLT percentages between 8-12% will be our darkest lens colors, and will provide you with full protection on the sunniest days.
You can find the VLT percentage of any lens in the “Key Features” section of any product page.
You can also see the VLT percentages of all our lens colors at our Lens Tints & Features page.
Stealth Black is our most popular dark lens. It has a VLT percentage of 8% in our Standard and Enhanced lens tiers, and 10% in our Elite lens tier.
